The Magicians itself has a lot of real questionable shit. She has a lot of child neglect in her history that I've mostly headcanoned outside of her comment about her dad being a drunk loser. She has some memory loss trauma b/c of something she did they never tell us about, there's a lot of drug abuse and alcoholism in her canon and definitely a lot of death, murder, and suicidal stuff. She can be fairly abrasive herself at times.
